Just occasionally, a building project is so natural and self-effacing and intelligent, it seems the result of some kind of beneficial organic force rather than the usual architectural status-seeking. This is the case with St. Luke's, the London Symphony Orchestra's new music education centre and much more. New? From the outside, it's an eccentric old London church by Nicholas Hawksmoor, spruced up a bit. Inside, it is a revelation.
