There is something about a Frank Gehry building that seems to encourage provocative acts. When his Bilbao Guggenheim art museum opened, Basque terrorists were discovered trying to launch a missile at it from the cover of a giant Jeff Koons floral puppy outside. At the inauguration of his new performing arts centre at Bard College in upstate New York last week, things were more peaceful. Was that an old-fashioned student protest taking place outside? It was. And was one of them prancing around butt-naked in her fervour? She was.
